Send money abroad (海外送金)
For you if: you want to send money to your family or others abroad.
- Use only licensed services, such as banks.
- Sending money through an unlicensed person or "underground bank" is illegal.
- If you are not sure, ask someone at your work or school.

Why it matters. Banking business needs a national license in Japan. Do not pay money to unlicensed banks or people to send it abroad.
Never sell or lend your account. Selling or giving your account, cash card, bankbook, or login to others is a crime.
A guide in many languages. The Financial Services Agency has a pamphlet, “How to open a bank account and send money”, in many languages.
At the end, check at the counter. You can show this card.
