- Pharmacy (薬局): gives medicine from a doctor's prescription. It also sells other medicine.
- Drugstore (ドラッグストア): sells medicine without a prescription.
- Ask the pharmacist (薬剤師) if you have questions.

All medicine can have side effects. Use it with care. If you have questions, ask a pharmacist or a registered drug seller (登録販売者).
Prescription medicine. Only a pharmacy can give it. A drugstore cannot.
